on hold due to lack of inspiration ::: She saw the ice cream truck pass through her neighborhood nearly every day in the summer. Every day, she got her favorite ice cream, mint chocolate chip. Her routine suddenly got changed when the ice cream truck stopped coming for a month. When it finally came back, it had a new driver, a teenage boy with beautiful arms. Not exactly what she expected, but as long as she got her daily ice cream fix, it was all good to her.

Counting stars always made Maya feel like anything can happen. Even though things can seem untamable you can reach your hand out and imagine you catching a star. That is until her mother passes and then her father. Maya hasn’t looked at the stars since. Her motivation isn’t what it used to be and in hopes to help her get back to the way she was her uncle steps in to bring her to live with him.
