*Ranger's Apprentice/Lord of the Rings crossover* When Gilan, Alyss, and Halt inexplicably end up in Middle Earth, and with Aragorn, Thranduil, and Glorfindel stuck in Araluen, everyone is scrambling to make sense of it all. As these two worlds meet it is anyone's guess as to what will happen next--and if our six heroes will ever make it home.

When two Rangers mysteriously go missing it's up to Halt and Will to find them. However things don't go as planned and soon they find themselves trapped in the clutches of a past enemy, the Genovesans. While imprisoned they learn that the assassins are in league with the Temujai who plan on invading Araluen. Will they be able to escape... or is this the end? Araluen is engaged in an intense war with the Scoti. Much to people's bewilderment, the rangers can't prevent the many attacks from taking place. Within less than a week, the Scoti have captured most of Araluen. Is this the end of the prosperous era Araluen seemed to enter?

Will had married Alyss and settled down, Halt had moved out of the cabin and moved in with Pauline, Horace married the kings daughter Evanlyn and everything was going great. Strange events start to happen in Araluen and Redmont fief. People die, livestock go missing, high ranking military official are killed, crimes in general increase. The kingdom reaches its worst in years, when it happens. A very dangerous foe arises, old friends reunite, new enemies expose themselves, and legends are defeated in this epic Finale to the Rangers Apprentice series.

24 year old Ranger Will is happy. It has been two years since he married Alyss and he had one adorable daughter and another baby on the way. But what happens, when called to a mission, Will goes missing?

Will and Halt think they've done it again. Finished a mission, saved lives, all done, now it's time to go home. But not this time. Now Redmont has been taken from the inside.
