My name is Mia Alvarez. I'm 15 years young, and my Mom passed away four years ago. Since then..my life was never the same. My Dad became a an alcoholic! He was constantly out all night, and would come home a belligerent drunk. He'd be mad all the time for no reason and would take it out on me and my little brother, Joshua. Our body's are covered in scars. I feel like an idiot always walking outside in big sweatshirts and jeans. My older brother (Miguel) was never home, cared more about his so called friends and skanky girlfriend more than his own family. I hated him for not being there for us. Now all that's done with. Me and Joshua are now in foster care. Miguel's living with our aunt. She didn't take us cause it'd kill her to even see our faces.
