Even though Basil and Harry are twins, they look nothing alike, except for sharing the same eye color. Those that know their parents, James Fleamont Potter and Lily Jasmine Potter nee Evans, would often tell the couple that Basil looks like a male version of Lily while Harry looks like James, but with Lily's green eyes. After they were born, James and Lily took their sons into hiding when they get informed about a prophecy where one of their sons will become an equal to the Dark Lord. A year later, on October 31, 1981, Basil and Harry witnessed their parents get killed by the Dark Lord, who was surprised to learn that the Potter's had twin sons.
