A revitalized story of Cinderella, switching between the point of view of Ashlyn- a young girl with surprising ties to the predicted overthrow of the kingdom- and her closest companion Charlotte- a Guardian assigned to protect Ash and the current dynasty. Both girls know magic, with Charlotte being exceptional and Ashlyn still learning. Charlotte also hides a secret- a hidden motive that may jeopardize her mission. I'd like to note that the main idea isn't lesbian romance. This was co-written my me (Charlotte) and my friend and cousin Nina, who wrote Ashlyn

Nathan has seen "shadows" everywhere, dark, flickering shapes reflecting misery, worry, and suffering. Natalie can sense thoughts, the main thoughts and feelings of people she meets. They meet Carter, an abused boy who spends his time showing card tricks and gambling with whoever he can challenge. Carter spends every ounce of free time with the homeless, taking those who need help to his friend, Mrs. Catherine. When Nathan is pulled away from this life and into one of a middle-class sorceress, he's shown what's really been going on throughout his life.
