After ten years, the apocalypse seems to have ended, but no one can figure how, or why. Dean Winchester and his brother, Sam, had been hiding out in their bunker since the apocalypse started, separated from their father, with nobody but each other. The monsters they used to hunt were nothing compared to the hoards of undead that kept them confined to their bunker. Since it all stopped, they're free to roam the earth again. On a supply run soon after the undead are gone, Dean runs into a stranger, Castiel. Traveling with him, his nephew, Jack. While Dean's general rule is to never trust anyone, he can't help but feel responsible for protecting these two, especially Cas. Intent on finding somewhere they can settle down and start to rebuild their lives, the four of them set off to find food, shelter, and a community to call home. What else is there to do after the end of the world?

Despite Zeke’s threats, Dean doesn't tell Cas to leave the bunker. He revels in their burgeoning relationship, content to end his day with Cas asleep on his shoulder, even if they'll always sleep in separate rooms. Cas is it for him. But when Cas begins to experience physical urges he can't control, he asks Dean for a hand—metaphorically, and later, literally. Canon divergent after 9.03 "I'm No Angel."

Castiel’s hope for freedom is threatened by a chance encounter with the Crowned Prince of Lawrence, who is trying to avoid an arranged marriage. A Cinderella/Ever After AU. On an ordinary day Dean likes his job. Except when the 50 Shades of Grey movies come out. Then he wishes he worked anywhere except a movie theater. It's his job to sell the tickets, but he has to make sure it's only to people over age 18. Easier said than done. So many try to sneak past him. Is it so hard to make sure you have your ID or have someone with an ID to buy the tickets for them? When a perky redhead and her friend try to buy tickets without an ID, it's looking to be the same sad story he'd been facing all night. Except the girl calls her older brother to come down and buy the tickets for them. He's as fond of the movie series as Dean is, and irritated that he was dragged down to buy the tickets. Until he lays eyes on Dean. So maybe doing a favor for his sister wasn't that bad...

Dean has a problem with social media, but the bigger problem he has is what Sam and Cas are doing when they're on those sites...
