A pair of magnificent, jewel studded earphones falls into the hands of adventure-seeking Astra Spencer by means only she could have prevented. As people strongly advice that all that glitters is not gold, Astra, on the other hand, finds out the hard way that gold, in the first place, might not be everything you'd ever wanted. For the shiny pair of audio devices she steals from the pocket of a mysterious man, she puts at risk the lives of not only everything she holds dear, but also the fate of her entire city.
