[COMPLETE ✓] Rumour has it that a new guy is joining our class this year. All the girls are going crazy, imagining all the case scenarios from cliché YA books: mysterious, rebel, bad boy, werewolf, fallen angel, even vampire! The worst part, I don't even think they have read the books; they only watched the films. However, it doesn't make much difference to me, it's not like he is going to see me. No one sees me. As soon as you turn sixteen, the Timekeeper is inserted on the inside of your wrist. It's a countdown, showing days, hours, minutes, seconds. Until what, you might ask? Until you meet your soul mate. Candice Smith has only just turned sixteen, and is looking forward to finding her soul mate. But things don't turn out exactly how she thought they would. Find your soul mate, and you should fall in love at first sight right? Wrong. Jase Williams isn't who she pictured as her soul mate, not even close. They are complete opposites, surely there has been a mistake? Between lies, betrayal, and tears, will Candice and Jase end up falling for each other? Or will Candice fall for someone else? And I'm gonna let those bastards know who they're fucking with." ******************************************* In the late 2300s, the United States government declared war on China to reclaim the last of Earth's natural resources. The war lasted years and in 2375, China became a nuclear wasteland, forcing the Mass China Evacuation to take place. Millions of people were evacuated to neighboring countries such as Indonesia and Japan. The story revolves around four Chinese teenagers, who's family and country was brutally taken away from them. Their decision was to save the last of their people and reclaim what was theirs from the Americans. And maybe, just maybe, things aren't what they seem. After all, war is just like a game, it depends on how well you play it, and how many tricks you have up your sleeves. {science fiction #14} {warning: sensitive content and swearing and violence and injuries that can go pretty descriptive.
