"What are you doing!?" She asks, her eyes fixed on me as I watch her react to my presence like she's contracting a disease. Her skin grows paler. Her breathing becomes heavier. Her lips quiver. Her body trembles, breaking out in goosebumps. Her eyes portray the terror she feels as tears pool, almost rolling down. "So now you're scared," I say, taking in all the signs, though not fully understanding why. "Please don't come any closer," she says with a pleading tone and a breathy voice, and if I'm reading the signs right, she looks as though she's about to pass out. "Why? Do you think I'll hurt you?" I ask curiously, studying her reaction, but still moving closer to her as she backs away. Such intense reactions when I've done nothing out of the ordinary. I'm positive she didn't see me materialize a moment ago, yet she's staring at me as though I'm some vile, abnormal creature. "Please don't - " she begs desperately, stopping mid-sentence when her back touches the gate and she realizes she's backed into a corner. At my mercy. Then the tears fall. *** A cursed immortal King and a lowly peasant, bound by prophecy and tethered by pain. Lily Field is a naïve scarred woman who was brutally assaulted at eighteen and developed a phobia of being touched by men. Ashton Vale is the King of Alveron who was cursed by a vengeful witch at twenty-eight and has been tortured for being touched by women. Fate shouldn't have brought these two together, but it did. Damaged, broken and hopelessly paired for love but destined for damnation. He is punished by her touch. She is terrified of his. There is only one logical outcome of this union - catastrophe; but logic is irrelevant, especially when the King of Alveron is one year from transforming into a rabid beast.

In a future where humanity lives on foreign planets and corporations control the air, people's bodies, and their destinies, Noa Kurogane grows up in the domed city of Noryx. Veydras, his homeworld, is poisoned, exploited, and scarred by a past that no one wants to talk about. But deep beneath the surface, something has awakened. As Noa begins to uncover the truth behind his mark, the corporations, and the mysterious fragments, he becomes entangled in a story that changes more than just his own life. Eight human aspects have been created. Eight hosts are connected to one another. And somewhere between fear, strength, greed, and grief lies the answer to a question that should never have been asked: What remains of a human being when even their soul can be shattered? - I'm a German author. I'm writing this story as a novel because I originally wanted to turn it into a manga, but I have absolutely no talent for drawing.. *The images i use are all created using KI. I hope you enjoy it*

Seven children. One forbidden door. A secret hidden in orbit for decades. Gus Mercy has never seen the sky move. He's never felt real rain. He's spent his whole life inside the walls of Mercy Orphanage, following the same rules as the six other children raised alongside him: pray at dawn, obey Miss Sasha Kruger, and never - under any circumstance - go near the red door at the end of the hall. > > He doesn't remember his mother's face. He doesn't remember anything before Mercy. None of them do. > > Then the door opens. > > What Gus finds on the other side unravels everything he thought he knew about his home, his faith, and himself. Mercy Orphanage was never a building on Earth - it's a station in orbit, built and operated by a Church that answers to no government and hides from the world above the clouds. And Gus isn't just an orphan. He's part of an experiment that started before he could walk. > > As Gus and the others - the strange, silent May; the Koch twins, one of them more machine than boy; the counselor-AI called Muller; and little Lia, the newest arrival - start piecing together the truth, they realize the people who raised them were never protecting them. > > They were containing them. > > Now there's no going back to the life they knew. Only forward, into a truth the Orbital Vatican has kept buried for generations - and a war that was never supposed to include children. > > **THE RED DOOR OF MERCY ORPHANAGE** - a sci-fi thriller about faith, control, and what happens when the truth finally opens the door.
