According to my mother, or Mother Dearest as I prefer to call her, my defiant behavior is unacceptable. Her way of dealing with me? Sending me to Devonshire Academy for Delinquents. If she thinks that my harmless pranks and apparent attitude labels me as a delinquent, then I'll live up to her expectations and show her a delinquent. Maybe this won't be so bad after all. Especially when a certain sexy bad boy walks into my life... well, detention. Same difference. Watch out Devenshire Academy, here I come.

"He's a bad boy. He's bad news" Abigail Antonias was warned as soon as she entered her fourth high school that a particular boy named Nathaniel Reece was the definition of a bad boy, and is best to just avoid. But that just made Abigail's curiousity peak. What could be so 'Bad' about him? And sometimes, the worst decisions are the best ones. (Note: Not totally cliche, believe me)

I watched Reese lips move as he read out the contents of the letter, then I watched everyone's faces as they took in the words that were coming off the paper. As I looked around the small group, I realized that these were the people that I had no choice but to depend on for awhile, and one of them was going to get hurt. It didn't matter if we did everything right, someone was bound to get hurt in this game and I couldn't help but to feel like it would be all my fault.

"You and I both know that any girl would kill to be in your position, with me, right now." He smirks, knowing that what he's said is completely and utterly true. Lea Wilson and River Parker don't mix; they don't like the same things, their lives are majorly different. But, what if these two people who are least expected to spend time with each other are doing exactly that? And, not only at school but at home as well. After Lea's house falls apart due to a termite infestation, the Wilson's are invited to stay at an old family friend's mansion of a house. The family friend also happens to be River's father. I'll give you time to digest that information. Yes, you're right. The sarcastic nerd and the egotistical heart-throb live under the same roof and encounter a series of events that make the two do something they didn't think would happen. They grow closer, and closer, and closer, until...well, you'll have to find that out for yourself. Follow them through their adventures of falling in love, getting their hearts broken, and learning lessons that explain there is more to life than they have ever imagined. Six teens are devoted to a game with one rule: If a player gets tagged, they must change their life within the next fifteen minutes. The better the player, the bigger the change. One might give their car away, or punch the school bully. Another might change identities or sacrifice their virginity. Anything to keep evolving, to avoid fitting into a label or caring about the junk they own. But their quest for enlightenment has taken a rotten final turn - one of the players has murdered the game's creator, the teen prophet (cult leader?) David Bloom. Our narrator is being framed for the crime; can he clear his name and discover which of his lifelong friends is the murderer before he takes the fall? [sic] is a gritty teen murder mystery that delves into the psychology of enlightenment among the criminally dysfunctional.
