She forsakes her own safety to go in search of the killer. But what awaits her outside is more unbelievable that she ever imagined. Cut to the present day where Eleanor's world is falling apart. (Rank #149 in Sci-Fi) In the year 2041, the first bombs were dropped. Countless nations engaged in total warfare and the end result was the destruction of everyday life. Riots and looting became common as people began to loose trust in one another. Worldwide famine, nuclear bombs, and food shortages led to disease and plague, which claimed countless lives. Soon, governments were destroyed and most of the world had turned to anarchy. Life as we knew it, had changed completely. The world we once knew has now became a world reborn. It is now the year 2086, and 16 year old Amber McQueen peacefully lives with her family. Her family, that consists of her middle-aged father and 8 year old brother, takes up residence in an old cabin, located high in the Catskill mountains, in New York. Her father tells her that he's going to search for supplies near the abandoned town of West Shokan. But after 3 long days, her father doesn't return. Amber is then visited by a stranger one day and that was when her world changed forever.

Four unmarked survivors. One totalitarian government. A fight to keep their humanity intact. 100 years into the future, the E-91 virus has thrust the world into chaos. For Rachel Wilson, survival hasn't come easy. For the last fifteen years, she's lived in the wilderness, just out of reach of the Council of Nations. Until one day, poachers--the section of law enforcement tasked with hunting the Unmarked--raid her home and she is forced to go on the run. Weary from the attack, but certainly not broken, she ventures into a dangerous world with only her fiery determination to survive. In what appears to be a stroke of good luck, she is rescued by an underground movement working towards bringing down the capital or die trying. Death over mark, that had always been the mantra. Because the alternative-becoming a mind-controlled soldier to fight the capital's war-was a fate worse than death. ***What other readers are saying about Marked*** "You've done a wonderful job of creating and molding this couple into real people. Now, they practically breathe!" -thebirdwhisperer "This is incredible! I was holding my breath for a second there because everything was so good and the action felt so rea!!!" -titanic123 "I rarely comment as I'm not very good with words. But I have to tell you I enjoyed your book so much. I cried and laughed, bit my nails and rooted the characters on as if they were my family." -leenafrog

The rain pattered down on my plastered hair, my limbs trembling against the protesting wind that pryed at my clothes. I made it....I finally made it. When I stumbled across the soaked mud, I turned my head to look at Xander who struggled to keep up, carrying the blonde girls body. His hands were soaked with blood and his eyes clouded. My heart stopped when I reached the sight, my eyes closing with confusion. After I opened them, Xander was next to me with his mouth wide open. His brown hair covering half of his eyes. I started to cry unexpectedly, "Was all their deaths worth it? Was it all worth it? Was it worth to leave that horrid place... to another nightmare?" Xander didn't respond for awhile and just patted the wounded girl's hair, crying quietly. "No. We are free. It's just another challenge we have to face. Sometime in our life, there will be a something extraordinary on the other side." I turned my head to the basked, unforgiving forest, the rivers soaked up and dust floating in the air around us. The trees were broken and all were stumps. Roaming, insane, beasts crossed the area. "We are free," In the action packed sci-fi novel you will be dying to read more! Soon the full version will come out and grab your attention. Make sure to comment your thoughts on the sneak peek of The 21st
