The twin brother Avatar happened to have the same DNA as Ryoku, and now Ryoku is part of the Avatar program as well. Except Ryoku has no idea what to expect. He knows basic Na'vi and a little about the animals, but that's it. His empathy for animals- whether injured or simply to their living conditions. It's evident that he cares immensely for animal life.
