Kylie escapes to a dude ranch where she finds comfort with not ONE but TWO wranglers. Kylie isn't so innocent now. Is she? The Lone Mountain Ranch series is a delicious collection of novels filled with cowboys, sex, and adventure about a young woman discovering that you don't have to be a good girl to be a good person. Life is both fleeting and dangerous, there is no point in denying yourself pleasure or being anything other than what you are. It explores themes of female sexuality and promiscuity as well as the idiosyncrasies of true love.

An original short story by HLMONROEAUTHOR #WITWContest It was meant to be a game-a circle of salt, a whisper to whatever might be listening. But the figure in the doorway is no game. His eyes are too sharp, his smile too knowing, and the way he says her name makes her blood run cold. The longer he stays, the more the night feels wrong... like she's been here before. Like she already knows how this ends. But just can't remember.

Rebecca Lee never planned on coming back to her small Texas hometown. After years of building a name for herself as a world-renowned animal doctor in New York, she thought she had left the past-and everyone in it-far behind. But when an old mentor retires, she finds herself back where it all started, taking over the local clinic and facing the life she once ran from. What she didn't expect? Jason Carter. Her brother's best friend. The boy who used to tease her endlessly. The man who now works the ranch like he owns the place-rugged, confident, and entirely off-limits. She told herself it was just a childhood crush. That seeing him again wouldn't change anything. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is to ignore the way he looks at her... or the way she wants to break every rule to have him. She knows the risks. Knows her brother would never approve. But some temptations are impossible to resist. And Jason Carter? He's always been her greatest one.

Bronwyn Scott is the kind of girl who knows every back road, every creek bend, and every excuse to stay exactly where she is. A cowgirl born and raised in the ditches of Weaverville, North Carolina, she spends her days tending to family, brewing coffee, and quietly mourning the life she once imagined for herself. Her dreams still exist-but only in the quiet, unreachable corners of her mind. Then Jamie Harper shows up. Alone, handsome, and out of place, the California stranger takes up residence in the weather-worn Ol' Cottage Grove Motel with nothing but a camera bag and questions he won't answer. The townsfolk circle like vultures, hungry for gossip, but Bronwyn's drawn for different reasons. No one knows why Jamie is here. He says a lot with no substance, watches much, and stirs something in Bronwyn that's been buried under years of resignation. As the two strike up a semi-reluctant connection, Bronwyn begins to see her life through a new set of eyes. But in a place where everyone knows your business and where change is never coming, wanting more can be dangerous. And trusting someone who won't say what he's running from-or toward-might just break her heart worse than staying ever could. Bittersweet, slow-burning, and full of Southern soul, this is a story about a girl who thought her life was over-and the stranger who made her want something more.
