'I don’t know how I do it, but I can look at a photo and enter that moment in time. Is it real? Hell, I don’t know, but something happened last time, something weird. I think I can change time and that fucking scares me.' A serial killer is on the loose, taunting police for years. A near fatal accident and a murder will change John forever unless he uses ‘the Blink’ one more time. {Wattpad Featured Story} {highest rank #1} BLINK is a work of fiction. There are some people who live in a dream world. A world where everything is perfectly fine. There are no fights, no pain, only happiness. These people see the bright side of everything, even the bad things in life. Then there are people who face reality. They know how much some things can hurt and how hard it can be to do the right thing. They have to make hard decisions, life changing ones. They get strangled in a web of lies, and once you're in, you can't get out. I belong to the second group and I am here to inform you that a perfect world doesn't exist. There is no such thing as 'a happily ever after.' We are all in the same game, just different levels. We're dealing with the same hell, only different devils. My devil is a killer and my game is to kill him. The only problem was I didn't know who my devil was. That's how the unrealistic game suddenly became a reality.

"Stop looking at me like that!" I exclaimed at my three roommates. Fanny, Claire, and Grace stood quiet as they all looked down, glancing away from me. "Like what?" Fanny said in a bare whisper, too scared to look back up. She still managed to take a glance, giving me that same look. "Like that! Like if what they said is true! Like if I were a murderer...like if I were a criminal!" "But you are, Katherine. You are a criminal," Grace said with a tone of disappointment. "And not just you, but so are we. Because we've been sneaking into the principal's office, into places that are restricted, we've been failing all the rules and worst...we've been dealing with a psychopath! We have done things I never imagined doing. We have turned into criminals." ~*~*~*~*~*~ Katherine Solomon is a sixteen-year-old girl who accepts a scholarship to a boarding school specialized in music. She leaves her best friend/soul mate, Harold Avenue, to pursue her dream in music. Over there, like if adapting to the new school wasn't hard enough, she receives some terrible news. Harold's...gone? But even though everyone thinks Harold is dead, some things just beg to differ. Harold is more alive than ever...and not alone. And so isn't Katherine. Now, they have to relive Kate's past to answer the questions that are put in to this game: Who is Freddie Heart? What could have happened to him? What are his real intentions and what does he have to do with this conspiracy? But sometimes, the best beats you can hear are the ones that come from the heart. Better yet, the ones that come from Heart's games. NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT: THE FIRST TWO CHAPTERS ARE...WELL...HOW CAN I PUT IT NICELY? CRAP. I MEAN, THEY'RE NOT REALLY THAT BAD, BUT THEY'RE KIND OF LIKE AN INTRODUCTION FOR KATE'S NEW LIFESTYLE. FETUS ME WROTE THEM. I WILL TRY TO CHANGE IT AS SOON AS I AM DONE WITH THE BOOK. I SWEAR I'VE TRIED TO FIX IT SO MANY TIMES, BUT I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO. SO PLEASE, BARE WITH ME!!

An acclaimed, award-winning thriller, published and translated around the world, now freely available on Wattpad. Paul Wood is a modern vagabond, a man who chooses to leave the comforts of San Francisco to spend months backpacking through some of the world's most challenging terrain. While hiking in the Himalayas, Paul gets more of a rush than he bargained for when he finds the body of a murdered hiker - mutilated in a way he has witnessed once before, in Africa, years ago and thousands of miles away. The police in Nepal, anxious to quell a scandal, close the case and declare the victim a suicide. Only Paul is left to search for answers. He reaches out to his farflung tribe of fellow backpackers for help, and his discoveries lead him to a terrible conclusion: a killer is stalking the international backpacker trail, preying on victims in wild places far beyond the reach of any authorities. A killer whom Paul may already know. Finding the murderer becomes an obsession that leads Paul from Himalayan peaks, through the jungles of Indonesia, across the bleak Sahara desert -- and into some of the darkest places imaginable... Dark Places won the 2005 Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel. Reviews "You're hooked ... the characters are delightfully delineated ... beautifully controlled ... Evans contrives to slip the necessary specialist net-head detail into the plot without being boring or patronising. He can also pin down a character with a few details deftly brushed in ... A pacy thriller for the 21st century." - The Times "Anyone would enjoy Evans' clever, relentlessly absorbing debut thriller that becomes a lot more than just another serial-killer mystery." - The Ottawa Citizen "In this haunting suspense debut, Evans takes the reader on a page-turning adventure across five continents ... (a) spooky, inventive tale." - Publishers Weekly
