My mother always told me when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. When someone knocks you down, you get right back up. You fight the good fight until you have nothing left. You fight with honor, you protect the ones you love, and if you just happen to die in the process, than you do so with dignity and grace. What my mother neglected to tell me during my studies was that you don't always get what you want, the outcome you think is coming doesn't always happen, and when the smoke clears, you're always going to be the last one standing. By the end of The Certainty, Georgiana Vertigo is left with nothing more than her life, something many people would be more than happy to have. However, Georgiana is left to her own devices in a strange city, alone and heartbroken with regular intense bouts of depression. In starting a new life with the Guild, Georgiana has everything she needs in order to move on with her life and keep her mind off the past. Only problem is, the past is never truly forgotten and no matter how hard you try to shake them, the feelings that go along with the memories don't just fade away. ~ * ~ Alright, chickens. You asked for it (some of you at least) and here it is...well...part of it. Like I've told a few of you, this is a work in progress. I add pieces to it when I think of them. The posting on this story will NOT be regular but thankfully for you, I have quite a bit of it done. I just haven't decided if the path I take it down is the right one. So. I hope you enjoy it and I will give you a forewarning that as the story progresses, it gets a bit more adult. For those of us just joining the party because they stumbled across it in the Paranormal category, there is a whole series of books you have to read until you get to this one. Go start with The Beginning. You can find it under "My Works" on my home page.

-Completed- Why does a story have to be about a bad boy and good girl? Why does the guy always have to be bad? Why can't the story be about the good guy and the good girl? Skylar Greene isn't someone you would consider popular. In her free time she would rather spend her time in her room reading a Nicholas Sparks book, sleeping, watch re-runs of old tv shows, listening to Ed Sheeran or fangirling over superheros. She is awkward, lacking social skills, and is shy at times but rambles when she's nervous. She is so clumsy she is literally falling through life. Noah Miller is someone you would definitely consider popular. He has the looks and is the best football player on the schools team. He isn't your typical popular guy who is rude to people who aren't popular. He is actually extremely nice to everyone which is why everyone loves him. He loves meeting knew people and having fun. When Skylar and Noah meet in the nurses office one day, everything changes. Noah takes interest in her and drags the socially awkward girl to parties, football games, and even gets them in trouble with the cops. But he's only trying to show her a good time. Soon enough Skylar finds herself falling for this guy. They start telling each other things they never told anyone before. Skylar actually thinks he likes her back and it can work out. But when series of unfortunate events happen everything changes and Skylar doesn't know how anything will turn out. "And Draya, Dollicia ... The rest of them?" Drake asked as his back was turned to her. Tae sat quiet again unsure of what he was really asking, what he really wanted to know that she hadn't already confessed about. "They were a 'at that moment' thing. That may sound bad, but yeah..." She said shrugging as he voice trailed off. Drake could tell she wanted to say more but he didn't force it. Tae sighed picking up on his silence and spoke again. "Some of them I dated before you got to them, some of them you dated before I got to them, some of them fucked with me while they fucked with you and vise versa." He turned around, she could feel Drake burning a hole in the side of her face. "You took this position KNOWING that we shared the same past... The same women... a lot of the same women, and you said nothing!? Why!? You didn't think that was something you should of mentioned to me!?... oh by the way Aubrey, you and I fucked with the same women!? I couldn't get that!? Are you trying to make them jealous!? You using me for a specific purpose?!..... Get back at them?!... You don't think this is information that I should of known Lashauntae!" Drake's voice grew dark it went deep as he demanded a answer. His many antagonizing malicious filled questions, he cross examined her, with a smug frown yet he wasn't allowing her the opportunity to answer him back, he was so angry assuming her was being used for something like all women eventually used him for.
