My name is Tide. I'd love to say hi and all, but if I tell you my location two very bad things could happen. First, someone who isn't really on my list of favorite people might find the information. Then, they would hunt us down and try to use our powers to take over the world and other maniacal things. Yeah, not so fun. However, I'd like it if people knew how things really happened. You may see things on the news, and they may sound bad, but trust me, this is the real story. Because I'm an Elemental. And somebody needs to set the record straight.* [Action #101] [Fantasy #2] :: cover credit goes to the lovely ATXNNA :: *heyo so this book is pretty old, some (a lot of) spelling mistakes, some (a lot of) plot holes, but if you're looking for some fast paced action and some sarcasm and some cliche romance you should honestly just go to the second book but yeah, this has got that, just with, you know, the glaring faults in the story line. Just a warning.

Firstly, it was just the prisoners that were used. Then it became orphans, and even some of the elderly. Now it is everyone in a society where people are struggling to find work. Money is offered to anyone willing to volunteer themselves or their children to take part in scientific trials run by the organisation called Calox. Except no one ever gets the money. No one is ever seen again once they've volunteered for the trials. (This is the first book in the 'Children of Calox' series. 'Flames' is the sequel, and therefore the second book in the series. I plan to write between three and five books in total.)

When Eira was seven, she was involved in a car crash that left her mother dead and her with no memories of the incident. Therefore, it's impossible for her to realize that she has been chosen to succeed her mother as the last 'Ice Elemental', one of six guardians with the power to control specific elements that keeps everything from teetering into chaos. Nine years later, now a student in high school in Snowspell Wisconsin, her dad has secretly trained her to blend in and be 'invisible' amongst her peers. That becomes much more difficult for her when she unwittingly begins to develop special abilities in front of everyone in her high school cafeteria, including Alexander, a mysterious new student with a strange tattoo on his ear, a hidden ability to teleport, and a keen interest in the necklace given to her by her mom right before she died. Eira learns that she is being protected from anyone or anything that may do her harm and it's not long before an evil entity with an army of dark souls, (including her mother's) knows exactly who and where she is. With the dark entity's army, the "Achlys" unrelenting in their search and closing in, Eira and Alexander escape into seclusion. Confused, unprepared and hunted by an army of darkness that would just as soon as kill her as capture her, Eira must quickly mature and develop into the Elemental power she was destined to become or she and those she loves may face the same fate that her mother did years ago.

Alex and Lindsey were cast out by their pack because of their decision. They fight to survive and are trying to find a new and right pack to join. When they find one things happen with Alex. First she falls in love with the Beta but something comes between them. And when she thinks she's settled it's going to get worse....... and weird.
