May 16th 20XX,
My name is Naveen Khan. And I am a Gender-Generate.
My name is Hafeez Nasir, and I am a Gender-Generate.
N: I'm writing this journal mainly because I have no one else who'll understand my situation. There are a few others like me but none of which I have a personal relationship with. And I need to recognize those that have helped me through my journey.
H: I'm writing this journal because people need to understand that while not everyone was supportive during this time of change, there was still good to come out of it. Even the most positive people in my generation have thought negatively of this event in some way, shape, or form. But I want to be one that doesn't.
N: There was an event that the whole world had gone through. This cycle was when children 11-17 had switched to the opposite sex until a couple of months after they turned 18. This event was called "The Phase." And it happened so suddenly without any warning.
H: These children were called "The Gender-Generates"-- I was one of them. These people had gone through a series of social loops and unbalance they would've never been through had they not transitioned.
N: I had gone through this, but my situation was different than most others'. There was drama, confusion, loss, and maybe even mental instability like everyone else's, but there were more layers of complications that arose for me and a couple of my friends. So now I write so that others can understand a perspective like mine-- a perspective that will be lost once I'm gone, which isn't that far from this moment.
H: And while I do write to show others what it was like for me, there are parts on how I felt about my situation, my friends' complications, and even my family's responses to this entire event.
N+H: This is my Phase.

"What the hell? They gave me their journals all those years ago?!"
I think my heart stopped for a brief moment.
