On the night the Opera Populaire was consumed by fire, Erik rode into the wilderness on horseback, discovering an expansive castle that... Belonged to him? He lived there, all alone... Until Christine happened to show up at his doorstep. But why was she there? Where was Raoul? What if Erik and Christine both had... A fatal flaw? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Other Information: • In introducing Erik to Christianity in this fanfiction, I do not mean to play the part of God. "Fatal Flaw" is just a fictional story, and I really wanted to see Erik find the Light. In real life, however, only the Lord can make this happen. • The characters in this story belong to their rightful owners (such as Gaston Leroux and Victor Hugo), not to me. All I've done is taken them and written a fanfiction about them.

Christine made her choice. She chose her Angel, and although he tried to push her away, she wont let him. They escape together and head to America, Coney Island to be specific, leaving Raoul in the dust. They are going to live a happy life together, get married and build the amazing circus show Phantasma. But soon things become apparent that it's not going to be that easy. Christine is pregnant, and she is afraid her angel will reject her for not knowing who the father is. To make matters worse, she falls ill and no one is sure what she has or how to cure it. It doesn't take long for Raoul to come in the picture wanting his Christine back, but things don't go quite as he planned either. Before they know it, Raoul and Erik are working together to save Christine and the child, despite their hatred for each other. Who is the father? What will it mean for Christine? She finds herself in a struggle not only for her life, but her child's, and once again must decide who she will marry- and who will raise her children.

Christine Daae, orphaned at 13, lived the majority of her life in the Opera Populaire with her one companion: the mysterious man who taught her to sing. She knew he was a only a man, yet she still believed he was, somehow, the angel of music which her father spoke of. She also had her best friend, Meg Giry. Even though Meg was kind, she didn't quite understand Christine, like her Angel did. Simply her angel's presence filled her spirit with a strange, sweet feeling. He was passionate, protective and dangerous all at once. One day, though, Christine's childhood sweetheart shows up at the opera as the patron. Now she must choose between the only two people who connect her to her deceased father, the only two men she loves. *Hardcore Eristine shipper* NOTE: This topic comes up a lot in the phandom, but I'd like to talk about Raoul for a minute. I, personally, hate Raoul, but, I try not to let my opinions of characters affect their behavior in the story, when they aren't my original characters. So, on that note (the divas a disaster must you cast her.........I had to) I will not make Raoul how I think he should be, I will present him the best I can taking into consideration Leroux's version, ALW's version, and his personality/actions in Love Never Dies. Thankyou.
