"I'm sorry! Please just stop!" I scream at my abusive "boyfriend". He hits me across the face again then circles me and kicks me on my back. I groan in pain, trying not to scream so others don't hear. Kyle comes back around an squats so he's facing me on the floor. "Good. Now next time be on time at your locker or this will happen again." He smiles, stands, and stalks off down the school's hallway. I try to get up but I stumble and fall. I'm panting now, hurting everywhere. I manage to stand. I fix my long sleeve shirt, hiding the scars. I grab my back pack and sling it over my right shoulder since Kyle shoved my left one on the lockers. I touch my cheek where he hit me. Then my hip and back where I wince in pain. "Crap," I groan. "Please. Okay. I'm okay. I'm fine. I'm good. No great. I'm great. All you need is a beautiful fake smile to hide an injured soul and no one will notice how broken you really are." I say while tightening the hoodie around my waist. "Well that was quite a show. How are you Quote Queen?" I hear a male voice say. I whirl around only to come face to face with Anthony. The school's bad boy, delinquent, or whatever else along those lines. And Anthony....
