Cyndi Gong is a middle school outcast- she doesn't fit in any of the four groups that was sorted by personalities- popular, nerd, jock, and Internet. Day after day, people from each of these groups laugh and tease Cyndi- and she hated it. Life isn't fair! But then Cyndi meets Stephanie, who had just moved into Woodsland Junior High. When Cyndi decides to show Stephanie around the school and told her about the four groups, Stephanie wasn't happy about it. She didn't like that there were posters everywhere telling everyone to become one of the groups- in fact, she didn't like the idea of the groups at all- and that the teachers allowed it all to happen before their eyes. Stephanie wanted to create a new beginning by starting a regular girl group to taunt the four other groups. She wanted to show them how it felt to be left out and she wanted Cyndi to help too. Together, the girls became the best of friends, but when the four groups didn't like what they were doing, trouble gets brewed up- and the whole school blames it all on Cyndi. Cyndi never really wanted to create the group, and it was all Stephanie's idea. Cyndi will just have to deal with the heckles by herself.
