The two main characters are equally strong in each their own way --they both have their own flaws as well. Don't expect a story where the guy is a big asshat because I can guarantee that you will fall madly in love with Isaac without him needing to put Maisie down. However, that being said, there's a lot more to this book than the romance aspect. If you're looking for an easy read where the two come together slowly and in the end have their final realization of love for each other... Turn back now. Imagine a book series inspired by Romeo & Juliet then take that and twist it into something completely unrecognizable. You are not ready for the madness that is this series if you're looking for love that easily overcomes all. Upon opening the pages to this book you will find diabolical plans of destruction, turns of events that will make your heart ache, and surprises that make your head turn in suspense.
