Do faeries truly exist? The World Faery Society (WFS) is determined to answer that question by investigating its biggest mystery yet: The Westbury Faery. Is she real? And if so, who is she and what is her story? But the WFS can't do it alone; the Society needs your help in writing her story. Explore the evidence, read theories and stories put forth by others, and write your own tale about The Westbury Faery's origins. The WFS will shortlist 100 of the most imaginative stories and theories about The Westbury Faery, and 20 winners will be published by Tiny Owl Workshop in a beautifully illustrated book in 2017. You can write flash fiction stories between 100 to 500 words or short stories between 1,500 to 3,000 words. Be sure your stories examine the question: Who is The Westbury Faery and what is her story? Contest entires closed on February 28th, 2017 but can be contributed ongoing at anytime! With your help, the WFS will be even closer to uncovering the mystery of The Westbury Faery.

HERE WE GO! Welcome to the "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" contest where you can win fabulous prizes, and prominent placement in a forthcoming anthology. All you have to do is write a story in 1000 words (+/-10) based on our cover photo. Need a closer look? Enter the story, by hitting "Read", then click on the photo at the top of the page for a larger image. You have the entire month of June to write it, but beware! Our contest officially closes on July 1, and all stories entered on, or after that date will not be qualified. Our illustrious panel of judges has been chosen, and in the coming days, and weeks, I will give you hints as to whom they are, before announcing them. They must remain anonymous for awhile longer, so one can pander to their tastes, but I can tell you this: One of them is THE ARTIST HIMSELF! Don't forget to use this hashtag: #apicturesworth1000words (it doesn't hurt to do this one either: #wpcontest) in your submission, or we won't be able to find your story. We look very forward to your entries. Be creative, and good luck!

This book features a collection of some of the reviews that I have written for fellow members in the #NBR community. These comments span across the following categories Description, Plotting and POV, Characterization, Scene Construction, and Advanced Editing. I will also include a few other pieces in here such as "Advice for Young Writers" and later "Popular Writing Books on the Market." The Next Big Recognition or #NBR is more than just a contest; it is an amazing writing community that features some of the most talented writers and reviewers that Wattpad has to offer. All members undergo a thorough screening process to ensure the quality of their work. Once you join, you then participate in weekly reviews of three chapters from fellow members. Recognition is given to both the spotlighted authors for the week and for those reviewers whose critiques were deemed most useful by the authors. To learn more about #NBR visit @DawnStarling's profile or my profile to look up the #NBR contest book. (Remember, not everyone can be a member; acceptance into the community is in itself an honor!) Please do not ask me to review your work. At this time, I only review for #NBR members. Best wishes, C. Avalerias
