☀ Tʜᴇ Hᴇᴀᴛ-
Auden Caper would happily spend her summer in the recesses of her room. When Auden’s lawyer prodigy mother suddenly gets a promotion into the high chair of said job, Auden decides ditch a lonely summer filled with textbooks and stale milk. Packing her bags, she decides to go to sunny California, where her eccentric and scatter-brained Aunt Meredith lives. ☀Tʜᴇ Sᴜɴʙᴜʀɴ- Auden doesn’t do sun….or water for that matter. Born and raised in Portland, Auden begins to wonder what she’s gotten herself into. With her happy go lucky Aunt there to guide her transition, Auden can’t seem to connect how her unorganized, bubbly aunt is related to her strict, disciplined mother. What’s even worse is the fact that despite Fortuna Isle being a gorgeous place with water-colored skies and crystalline oceans, Auden doesn’t seem to fit in with her sun kissed, boisterous peers. Because the fact of the matter is, when Auden tries to tan, she gets sunburned. ☀ Tʜᴇ Dʀᴏᴡɴɪɴɢ- When Parker Prince quite literally finds her in a state of questionable sanity, Auden is suddenly introduced to the idea of spending her summer with a boy who 1) Never tucks in his shirt, 2) fluently speaks the language of sarcasm and 3) works at the aquarium (the best job in the world in his opinion). The fact that he swims with sharks isn't the weirdest thing about him though. The thing about Parker Prince is that he believes in only one, absolute, truth- You don’t drown. You Just Keep Swimming. ~*~ Cover done by the amazing @Tamedkiss

This story is my new all time favourite." lornaj "I don't think I've been this interested and entertained in a very long time." _vixanne_ "I'm blown away, to be honest." Anne-overhere The last thing sixteen-year-old Louise Doors remembers is collapsing on her way home from a gig and a boy trying to save her life. Now, six days later, she's woken up. But she's not in the hospital, she's at home, and it seems her life has gone on without her, except everything is messed up. Her best friends hate her, she's hanging out with a girl she barely knows, and a boy called Dylan wants to meet up to give her a letter. As it turns out, Dylan isn't just any boy, either, he's the guy who tried to save her life. Soon Louise will find out exactly what's been going on in her absence because those missing days are happening again, only in reverse. While each day brings surprising revelations about her family, her friends, and who she was before, Louise also draws closer to Dylan, believing he can help her get her proper life back. But soon she'll realize no matter what she does, these six days might be all she has left, and she wants to spend them falling in love, not fighting the universe. "Mooooorrrrrrrreeeeeeee, this book is like air, i need it!" @noromance101 "These chapters are written BEAUTIFULLY! You are, without a doubt, my favorite writer on this site. " @nagykt "Reading this feeds my soul." @Yrthraethra Sixteen-year-old Mirra can see people's memories. She is a Shadow Weaver, one of the outlawed, glitter-eyed race feared in her land and forced into brutal slavery as children. She and her brother Kel have escaped their fate by hiding near the frozen mountains. But when bounty hunters snatch Kel, Mirra injured and unable to track long distances will lose him unless she gives herself up to his captors. As as a Shadow Weaver who's survived childhood and whose golden-flecked irises have faded, concealing her talent, Mirra's own value is priceless on the black-market. Taken to a lawless town in the northern territories, Mirra convinces her captors to sell her to a mysterious young man destined for the same province as the officer who has bought her brother. The young man is the Kingdom's missing Prince, feared dead after his escort was attacked on an expedition. He has been in hiding, waiting for a Shadow Weaver whose skill he can use to discover who ordered his assassination. But before he will risk breaking his father's law and taking Mirra to the royal court, he must test her talent and her ability to hide it. If Mirra fails, her hopes of seeing her brother again will be cut by the noose around her neck. "Once there were many... Now, there is only me." Beorn's eyes held a shadow of sorrow and loss beneath them. "I might not be so sure of that." *** The Skin-changers were once a proud people who lived in the Misty Mountains. That was before the orcs invaded. All were either killed or enslaved for sport. All but Beorn died eventually in those caverns. Or so he thought... Niatha was born a skin-changer until their race was taken by the goblins. She believed she was the only survivor, and so did he. Her help is needed on the quest to Erebor. On this quest she will discover that she is not alone in this world. She is not the last... Trust is a thing that must be earned the hard way: there are no short-cuts, not cheats. A problem like this could mean the exposing of the most closely guarded secret a girl has ever held, for dwarves fear and hunt what they believe to be a threat. Even if they don't fully understand its meaning. Disclaimer-all but Niatha is owned by Tolkein and Peter Jackson.
