But when her best friend is diagnosed with a terminal illness, the time has come to find out what he can teach her about death.

"alice?" he whispered, his voice nervous. "yeah?" she replied absent mindedly, stirring the coffee in the dark red cup with her spoon. "i love you," he said. an uncomfortable silence filled the air. "i love you, alice," he repeated, looking at her. her head was bent as she spooned the cream and only strands of her ginger hair hung from the sides of her face. "okay," she replied. I kinda just had an idea so I wrote it. Really short.

Really short.

She loved him; he loved another; another strung him along. Then there was a bit of a twist in their story, and instead of being a cliche romance, things changed drastically. He slowly fell for her.
