"Do you want to talk? You know, about everything?" Evan asks. He's staring up at the star-covered sky as he holds our brown bag of French fries. I finish my sip of my vanilla milkshake despite not wanting to stop and follow his gaze. The stars twinkle against the black and wish I had brought my camera. Somehow I thought that bringing it on our maybe-maybe-not date wasn't appropriate. "I don't know," I smile, "everything seems like a lot of talking." Alabama Reed has fooled herself into thinking that this could work and she knows it. With an accident she's trying to downplay and a loss she can't seem to forget, things aren't looking good. So Bam's parents do the only thing they can think of; they take their daughter and drive her halfway across the country to sleepy Mermaid Bay to live in an empty cottage for the summer. Things quickly start looking up when Bam realizes the newspapers don't cover news that happens hours away, but as soon as she starts making friends and secrets of her past start unraveling, Bam finds out that you can't always run from your past - even if you actually run away. It's the year 2149. Earth is dying, the atmosphere is becoming impossible to breathe in, and most hope is lost. Most. Flora Goldman is seventeen years old, struggling to surrvive on earth. Her whole family is dead. She lives on her own in a small apartment, gathering scarce food and water supplies when she can. At Hope Plaza, a huge ring-shaped structure in Chicago, scientists have discovered a rift in space in time, which allows people to step through and travel 85 million years back in time, the time of the prehistoric earth. Every now and then, certain people are chosen or pay to travel through the rift on a pilgrimage. The rift was taken as a sign; a sign of destiny; a sign for the human race to start afresh. When Flora is chosen, how will she cope with the change? Who will she meet? What will happen? Terra Nova: A Second Chance

It's always been the two of us since I remember, as Tom (my dad) left us when I was just a toddler. He never accepted mum's complete dedication to music and I think this is what caused them to break up. I'll never forgive him for giving up on us, and even more for not being there when mum fell ill. But he was too busy raising his new family I guess. And now that we have to live under the same roof, I feel like he’s no more than a stranger to me. Fortunately, I still have my music. No matter what happens around me, I know that I can always find refuge in music. It's hard to explain but as I sit at the piano the world hushes and my soul starts to sings. And I still have my Big Dream - to get into Julliard and become a great pianist as my Mum. The most famous conservatory in the world and New York City are waiting for me! I just have to nail an important audition that is just a few weeks away.. Fingers crossed!!

**Watch the Webisode of each chapter! On Mobile, Go to Info or click the thumbnail if you're reading on the web!** I'm Aisling and I moved to Dublin, Ireland from Boston Massachusets which is kind of weird because I thought I was coming home but actually nothing was how I thought it was going to be. To start with no one warned me I was going to have to wear a uniform. That was kinda a shock. And the dancing was a little different here too. But then I met Ali and Siobhan and suddenly things didn't seem so bad. Oh, and did I mention Murphy, the boy next door...

Some entries will make you laugh, and some may make you cry. Or, you may cry from laughing so hard. Either way, I hope you enjoy this book.
