He just wants her booty, but she'll end up stealing his heart. ***** After pirates kidnap seventeen-year-old Ana in a case of mistaken identity, the orphaned housemaid prepares for the worst. Instead, between a shipwreck, mutiny, and her growing feelings for her captor -- the dashing Pirate King of the Caribbean, Alestair Kincade -- Ana soon realizes the secret she keeps is far from the most dangerous part of her new life. But playing the wholesome daughter of a Spanish admiral among rag-tag buccaneers isn't easy either, and to avoid both discovery and the gallows she'll have to learn to rely on more than just her wits and her charm. But is Alestair Kincade really on her side? Or will his protection and his love both disappear the moment he learns the truth? Practice Makes Perfect. Everyone at Hundred Oaks High knows that career mentoring day is a joke. So when Maya Henry said she wanted to be a rock star, she never imagined she’d get to shadow *the* Jesse Scott, Nashville’s teen idol. But spending the day with Jesse is far from a dream come true. He’s as gorgeous as his music, but seeing all that he’s accomplished is just a reminder of everything Maya’s lost: her trust, her boyfriend, their band, and any chance to play the music she craves. Not to mention that Jesse’s pushy and opinionated. He made it on his own, and he thinks Maya’s playing back up to other people’s dreams. Does she have what it takes to follow her heart—and go solo? Note from Miranda: For years, fans have been asking me to write a sequel to Catching Jordan. I do not want to interrupt Jordan and Henry's happiness by causing them drama in a second book, so I decided to feature Sam Henry's little sister in a book. It comes out on July 15, 2015. This is just a sample of the book, but I plan to post more excerpts as the release date draws near. Hope you enjoy this excerpt!

This is my version of the rants other writers have done here on Wattpad. Concealed within this book are my opinions on the most irritating things Wattpadders do. I will be sarcastic. I will be blunt. I will be honest. If you think you might be offended, you have permission to stop reading at any time. You have been warned. And if you see yourself in any of these - don't feel bad. I, too, have done some of the things listed. Practically everyone has. Nobody's perfect, after all. I've noticed that this is half rant, half description of all the pet peeves in an organized fashion. And another half helpful tips to avoid these issues. Is that good or bad? I don't know, you can decide for yourself.

There are some excellent storytellers with some excellent books on this site and you have NEVER HEARD OF MOST OF THEM. I am not talking about the people that got a million votes for finding every popular cliche on the planet and sticking them in one book. I am talking about people that know how to write. The ones that understand human nature and writing and know how to put them together. They write what they know and know what they write. They don't want to be like anybody else and they don't like to follow all the rules. Good honest prose is not a popular thing on Wattpad, but it is with me. So here are some of my favorite writers on Wattpad. I follow them all, and all for different reasons. Some of them will make you cry, others piss you off, and others will make you wish you were smart enough to figure them out. You will be amazed at the rawness of some of the stories and at both the complexity and simplicity of some of the storytelling. Other times you won't know what to think. But at all times I am sure you will think to yourself "Damn, now this, this is a writer".
