Geneva thought she knew what evil was before that Autumn in Chattanooga. She thought after being homeless for seven years she'd seen it all, and she knew how to manipulate life into giving her what she wanted. Strange things started happening in her town, and soon she learned that everything she thought she knew was a fabricated story created by the people who'd been watching her for her entire life. After being thrown into a sick, unfair game, she lost everything she gained along the way, including the ability to trust. Everyone around her was a suspect. Everyone she looked at could be the source of all her life's troubles. Ignoring it isn't an option because it always yanks you out of your comfort zone and forces you to brush shoulders with death even when you think it's over. So what can you do? How can you ask for help when anybody you meet could be the one controlling the operation? How can you take it down by yourself when they are always twenty steps ahead of you? There's only one answer: you can't. There's nothing you can do in this game except say your prayers. After all Geneva's been through, you start to wonder who you're praying to.

"He look just like me." Was all he could utter when he looked at lil' Kofi. He swore he was lookin' in the mirror. Looking at his son was the most beautiful thing he ever seen. "Of course he looks like you." Hope had said softly from the hospital bed "He is you." Vixen grinned, and tried to hold in his emotions. "You right." Deonte would have loved to see his lil nephew. It would have been even better if he knew he was gonna be a daddy. It had been one year since Deonte was gone. He couldn't believe his best friend was dead laying in the hospital. A coma was the only thing between him and life. They already said he was ready to pull the plug. Talisha would never let that happen. The depression weighed her down, but her hopes on Deonte was all she held on to. When doctors say that he may be coming out of a coma soon, everyone is uplifted. That's all they needed to hold on to. That catch: he has to be up and responsive in two months, or the plug had to be pulled. Will the race for Deonte save him, or be the death to him? The fight comes within himself: he has to fight for his own life.

It’s 1998, and a flood of new students are coming into the University of Alabama. The new seniors couldn’t care less, since all they want to do is graduate like the previous class. But everyone seems pretty interested in these freshmen. Who wouldn’t be? They’re the full package—any type of person you can think of, they’re somewhere in the bunch—and they come with a side of drama too. So meet Brian, Travis, Wayne, Nefertiti (aka Neffie), Flo, Hunter, Quincy, and Sabine. They have a lot to offer. Whilst the purpose of college may be to learn, everyone knows that the students don’t care much about that. The true concern is partying, relationships, and getting out all the stupidity they have in them before they crash into adulthood. Essentially, they’re doing everything they are not supposed to. Ladies and gentlemen, these are the college fiends.
