When Mollie starts to prefer the dreams she's having to the painful reality of life, she's forced to choose between embracing a fantasy or the man she loves. ***** Since she was seven, Mollie Cutright has known two truths: she loves Howard Flynn and her dreams are the most magical part of her life. Each day she suffers at the hands of her abusive parents, but each night she is surrounded by a loving family who call her by a different name. Growing up in 1930's Virginia, no one has patience for a girl who might be mad, so Mollie strives to keep her dreams (and how often they intrude on her reality) a secret. But when her secret comes out, Mollie is sent to an asylum, though not before she and Howard are secretly engaged. It is at the asylum she discovers the dreams are echoes of her past lives. She's an immortal, if she makes a journey to claim her heritage. The problem is, if she continues down this path, she can never see Howard, the love of her life, again. [This story will become free again on AUGUST 30, 2021] After Natalie escapes death, she finds a silver feather, phone messages from an unknown sender and gets the ability to foresee death. All of which lead her to unlikely love. ***** When Natalie Lacierna wakes up after surviving a freezing death inside an ice factory, she has three curious things in her possession. A silver feather from somewhere and someone she no longer remembers; the ability to foretell deaths and see death gods roaming the Earth; and the memory of someone close to her with whom she used to talk frequently with on her phone. As she puts her life back together, she moves into a rental house owned by Lolo Dimos. At the house, she gets acquainted with Lolo's grandson, Henry, a college professor who looks very familiar but she cannot place. At first, living with Henry is trying - he speaks very little and intimidates her. However, over time, the two become close as they talk about angels, death, humanity, and God. Before long, Natalie falls for the professor. As they get closer, so too does Natalie get to figuring out the mystery of the silver feather and the phone calls from the unknown sender. What she finds is heartbreaking but comes with the glimmer of redemption. After Death is a sequel to the epistolary story, Hello, Death, and supplementary short story, A Walk With Death. "I had never known the true meaning of love, it was always something I just acted in movies. To me, there was no such thing as true love because I would never want to be vulnerable. I'd never want to be open to being torn apart but when I saw her. My daughter, everything changed. She was everything to me, I loved everything about her. To the way her nose wrinkled when she laughed and how her bangs were always messy when she ran around to much. I loved her chubby hands that would hold onto my jeans when I was busy and couldn't hold her hand. She is my princess, my true love." [not edited...sorry if some shit makes you cringe] Contains strong language even though it's a cute little book about a father growing to love a daughter he found out about on a guy's night. [#1- father] [#2 - daughter] [#3 - singlefather]
