****Winner of the Most Popular Naruto Fanfic Watty Award 2013/14**** **Currently being rewritten as the original is old and awful in this author's opinion** A coming of age story about a young Ninja, confused and hurt by the instances in her past, struggling to find her place and figure out what it all means. Can the kindness of a new Village warm a heart that time has taught to be cold and cruel? Can new friendships replace broken bonds, lost to the past? Is it safer to stay, or is it safer to run? A story not about one's physical strength, or of obtaining great power, but a story of overcoming and learning to change as old wounds heal.

~Under Revision~ ......Darkness was all I could see. All I could ever see. Constant swaying always making my head spin. I only ever remembered the solid black. There was a fuzziness where I thought memories might linger. My memories...... The Twelve-tails, the demon that, in legend, destroyed an entire continent and suddenly disappeared off the face of the planet soon after, has finally reappeared after centuries and was sealed inside of a baby girl. Years later, the girl doesn't remember her past, where she's from, or even her own name. As she struggles with the revelation of the Twelve-Tailed Terror and her search for her name, she joins up with squad 13, a Leaf Village team that has recently lost one of it's members, all the while searching for her true purpose. Soon she learns of the Akatsuki hunting all the tailed beast jinchuuriki's down and fear sweeps through her. The Terror may be unknown to most of the world, but news of it could spread like a wildfire. What would the Akatsuki do if they found out? Her fear deepens when she is suddenly in the hands of the Akatsuki, but not for the reasons she believes. And what happens when a member finds out? Will she be revealed or will she escape before it's too late? I don't do the whole 'Author's Note' at the beginning or end of the chapter because I really don't feel like I'm any good at it so the important info that I would've repeated in every chapter will be right here. I DO NOT OWN NARUTO!!! The story that inspired mine is Bloodline by vouvezsoir You guys should check her's out too! It's amazing! If you want to get to her story quickly, I put an external link of her story on the first chapter. And just a heads up, usually if the chapter has a dedication to someone then there will be an external link to one of their stories. Also I follow the plot, meaning what happens in Naruto happens here except my character isn't in the main plot line. And I follow the anime, not the manga.

Welcome to the main character's insanity and the ninja world! Lian Titen, the protagonist in this story, makes the ninja world even more deadly and exciting! Growing up without knowing her family, she goes about her business like any normal child does....well, as normal as a child in a world of ninja can be. Join us in this amazing-ness of life and watch as the young character grows from where every other Naruto FanFiction begins! This fantabulous story is written by yours truly, I_am_a_psychopath. I don't own Naruto. Hey~! I've finally finished this thing! I started to edit it, and then realised how big of a job it was. So, the first few chapters might be decent and then it's gonna look like a potato. - Thanks for the support over the years, I never should have tried editing this, it was hilarious in its own cringey way... Anyway, peace! -

The bandages that covered his face in life have fallen away, all incinerated and hanging loosely around his neck. His face is completely destroyed. Unrecognizable. The skin covering his face is no longer there, all having melted away. His blood vessels have all burst, his nerves have fried along with the majority of his muscles. His jaw opens and closes a little bit. His eyes bore into me. They're large and round and completely accusing. His teeth are covered in bits of burnt muscle. I feel my heart thudding in my chest. He steps closer, closer. His bone gleams in the dim light. As he closes in on me, a pounding noise begins ringing through my ears. My heart beat- ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum. It looked like he had been tossed into a fryer, fried alive, and he had been. By me. I did this to someone. I killed someone's team mate, someone's son. I killed someone's important person. -- Kimiko Kioku, a memory keeper. Never forgets anything, always notices, from the exact way the wind blew her hair against her face to coloring with her brother at five to the lullaby her mother would sing to her as she rocked her when she was not even a year old. She remembers. She remembers the blood, the glassy, clouded over eyes her brother had as he said his last words. She remembers the very first person she killed. She remembers how abandoned she feels, and how everything always feels like it's falling apart at the seams. (Can you say 'worst summary ever to exist'? Okay, maybe not that bad. But still pretty bad.)
