"We've both made mistakes, but that's why we need each other." Everything about Justin's latest girlfriend screams "Not going to last," with her checkered past, a mysterious disease, and parents who are more than quick to disown their only child. Still, no one knows that she's been in Justin's life longer than any other girl; she's been his best friend since she could walk. But when both of them are convinced that they can make their relationship work, secrets from Justin's past begin to resurface piece by piece. With a teen star spiraling out of control and a rebellious girl just trying to find somewhere to belong, nothing about this unconventional couple is perfect.

Sneak Peek: He leans in, and kisses me deeply. His long, beautiful eyelashes tickle my cheek, just as I'd predicted when I first met him. His soft, full, lips envelop mine, but I don't push him away because he needs this. I need this. I want this. I bury my hands in his hair, and he starts to do the same, but then he hesitates. He's probably wondering if it's ok to touch a black girls' hair. I smile against his lips, and grab his hands and bury them in my braids. He smiles back, and runs his fingers through my braids. I'm starting to think that he's having more fun with my braids than with my lips but then he runs his tongue across my teeth. I open my mouth and he deepens the kiss. Our tongues dance and he nips at my lower lip. Kissing him is wonderful; he's probably the best kisser that I've ever encountered. So much for the stereotype about White people being bad kissers.
