"Did you hear about the death of Jo Montello?" A sentence that was heard extremely often in a small town on the edge of England. For Cris, having to hear about her best friend's death at almost every step she takes, isn't too easy. Jo was the reason for several mishaps and would attempt at anything somebody could tell her. She screwed up people's emotions and relationships everywhere she went. The fact that her death was most likely intentional, wasn't a surprise since most people in the neighborhood wanted her gone. But she was in the center of everyone's mind, because the killer couldn't be a step out of town. Cris may have been a little out there like Jo, but innocent she was. She was mildly popular, and came from a quite happy family. Cris had a picture perfect life before Jo's death. On the day of her funeral, in the midst of the trees, she saw a curly head shadow that since that day, followed her every step in threat. And once she saw the shadow, her life became a light switch that was always off.
