On the very day before his wedding, Peeta Mellark receive a letter from a hospital in the Capitol, saying that they need a blood sample from him. Peeta know that it has something to do with the business trip to the Capitol, that his father send him on the year before, because he fell in love with a beautiful grey eyed woman there. He wanted to marry her, but she turned him down everytime. Peeta soon finds out that he has a 2 weeks old child with her, but she wants to adopt it away, so Peeta does the only thing he can think of. "We're here. We're finally here." I say as I drop the bags on the floor and look up at him. He leans forward and carefully puts his lips to mine. I close my eyes and start to feel the butterflies begin to flutter. I pull away and look down at my feet. "Come on Katniss, it's just a little kiss." He says as he gently grabs my waist and pulls me in. I lie my head on his chest and I smile. He places his chin on my head and we stand there in silence taking in each other's embrace. "Peeta. Stay with me?" "Always."

Ever since tragedy gave him enough courage to ask for her hand, the unspeakable happens. Katniss's little sister, Primrose, is reaped for the death sentence. Peeta watches helplessly as his lover volunteers to take her place in the Games. Soon after, Peeta is reaped himself. He knows that only one will come out alive: someone smart, determined, and strong enough. And it would be his love. It had to be. This is my verson of The Hunger Games, originally writen by Suzanne Collins.

An extended epilogue to Mockingjay. Katniss has finally admitted her true love for Peeta and has sealed this confession by moving in with him. At first, the transition is smooth and effortless. Though, as the memories slowly return, how will Katniss handle it? Also, how will Peeta deal with his moments of fighting terror from the capitals hijacking? Unlike many fan fictions of this epilogue, I will not write a perfect love story for Peeta and Katniss where they find themselves engaged and their only problem in the world is planning a wedding. No, just like the books, I can only imagine their love continuing to grow but hit it's rough patches as well. My goal is to make this story genuine and realistic and true to the original books as I can. Especially to not dismiss the facts that they both lost everyone they love, but each other.
