One of these powers, The Alliance of free worlds, has of late suffered to piratical raids leaving none alive upon the attacked worlds, now though, they know who is responsible. The order of salvation, a religious order that rose up from the ashes of the Schism. Although bad blood has always existed between the alliance and the Order, the atrocities committed are beyond comprehension. Now the alliance has come to york8 a world they lost in the Schism and, the now home world to the Order. However, all is not as it seems upon York8, as something manipulates the course of this war and draws the attention of powers beyond the alliance.

In the year 2245 A.D, a rampant infection known as the Nanites syndrome nearly brought the extinction of mankind by turning every Sentient machine against them, orchestrating numerous massacres which led them to go underground. Ten years later after the last city of earth prime fell to the hands of machines, a scavenger named Cody miles gets infected by Nanites while salvaging a fallen war machine but instead of turning his life extension implants against him, he becomes something else....something very powerful.
