Like the Hunger Games series? Then you'll love ''Man Hunt'' When Alice awakes in a small, bare room with nothing more than a letter, a backpack, a change of clothes and some survival gear, she doesn't know what to expect. She has no recollection of how she got to where she is, or even where she is and she can't help but feel frightened about the whole situation. According to the letter addressed to her name, her parents signed her up for a new televised game show in which twelve teenagers will be split into two equal teams. The teenagers will then take part in a slightly modified version of a childhood game they are all quite familiar with for the chance to win a sum of €1,000,000 for every member of the winning team. When Alice meets the rest of her group, they soon realise that they are stranded on an island and they have no other option but to cooperate. They quickly find the instructions and map their team has been supplied with and are forced to begin a game which they fear is darker than it may seem. The twelve teenagers can't be any more different, however they must push their divergence aside and hope that they have what it takes to win the game and return home with the money that could change their lives forever. In a tale of adventure, action and deceit; do Alice and her team have what it takes to leave the island as champions or is there a more sinister fate in store for them? Is this really just a game as their letters describe, or are there darker forces at work behind closed doors?

It's 2174, and Phillip Johnson is living in a world very different to the one we're all so familiar with today. All weather, seasons and daylight are controlled through one company: Billies Seasonal Weather Anomalies. To Phillip, it's the place he gives the names: power, money and work. He certainly didn't expect it to be a place where he could also give the titles: bankrupt, liars and criminals. One promotion allows Phillip to be in on a very dangerous secret. One containing the knowledge that his universe may not be the only one out there. And that Billy dude? He may not actually be dead. He might just be planning the burglary of the millennia instead. However, new threats bring in new allies. Some more unexpected than others. New threats also bring in tough decisions. Like deciding who's side you're on, for example. Or what you're supposed to order when the lunch menu is quite a bit bigger then the one on your planet. But Phillip better make his mind up soon, because time's running out. ~~~~~~~~~ Quick note for some people, this book was written after I wrote the short story: Dave's Seasonal Weather Anomalies. It's basically the same idea but bigger and a bit more advanced. You don't have to read that before this. Apart from that, enjoy, and be sure to leave me a vote with a few words of what you think!

Aislin Striker is a sixteen-year-old who just wants to be a normal teenager, but that's hard to achieve considering she keeps seeing ghosts. Since birth there had always been something abnormal about Aislin, and this went beyond her dysfunctional family and the constant attacks of her older sister, Avalon. But that's nothing a little therapy can't fix, right? Things seem to be improving until Aislin loses her best friend, Chanel, and then her paranormal experiences start happening all over again. Just like when she was a kid, only this time results in her starting a fire during class and getting expelled. Even worse, she is forced to go to Starkhouse-a reformed school for disturbed and rebellious teens. Starkhouse seems like an unfair punishment, especially with the way Toby keeps picking on her, but she does her best to pretend to be ordinary and stay out of trouble. But despite Aislin's attempts to lay low, her curiosity gets the best of her when students start disappearing at Starkhouse. There's even rumors that a poltergeist is haunting the institution and some of the other residents seem to be manifesting strange behavior. Maybe it's just a coincidence? Or maybe Starkhouse isn't what it seems....

But the burden proved too great and before the new year began, greed, betrayal and loss had created irreparable rifts in a friendship that had once been unbreakable. Over the centuries the last of the original wielders has wandered, charged with the responsibility to pass the Armillas on, to right what was once done wrong, to fulfill a prophecy and to break a curse.
