The Second in the Amber Aerie Dragons Series. This is a rough draft, written in first person like the first book of the series in order to keep with the same tone. However, it stars a new heroine and a new Dragon Lord. I highly recommend reading the first of the series before this one, they are not stand alone novels. There are many things that can be predicted accurately. My life, it seems, is not one of them. Cast from the Onyx Aerie it is not surprising that my pack struggled with the adjustment of life in the wild forest. And when the first members went missing it was logical to blame the many well known dangers. But it didn't stop with a few Shifters, six in total were gone. And the last...the last one was my sister. And by the Six Gods I was not going to sit around and wait any longer for the Alpha's cautious maneuvering. It was time to get her back. Fortunately, I had a plan. Unfortunately, the plan involved betraying my pack and releasing a secret hidden for nearly a month. The question was, would he be worth it?

Stolen from her mansion in the middle of the night Tharissa Bax finds herself in a precarious position; she has become embroiled in a political rift between three races of the great forest. The Shifters, a race of men who become wolves, Dragon Lords, a race of men who become dragons, and humans, a race without any seeming advantages...her race. But her father has set out to change that, to pass a law that would void a thousand year old treaty that offers human women to the Dragon Lords in exchange for their city's protection. Oddly, her kidnappers, Shifter rogues, don't seem against her father's law, they are intent on pushing it through. And she is rescued from them by the last men she would expect. The Dragon Lords. And one Dragon Lord in particular sparks her attraction and lust like nothing she has ever known. Could father's perceptions of the race be wrong? It seems it is time for her to reassess everything she thought she knew about the world outside of her pampered mansion. Should she take this opportunity to be more than what she has been raised to be? Can she find out who is behind the attempt on her life? Can she live with what she discovers?

Dashell, Iqbal, and Younas couldn't be more different..., but their problems are the same. They weren't ready to be fathers in their 20's. Entrepreneur Dashell: Never married his hot Asian girlfriend, spends his days hustling to keep his business afloat, and his nights fucking women. That is, as long as they aren't dark skinned black, like him. Father to 2 boys. Artist Iqbal: Was the model brown, Muslim Pakistani kid, until he got divorced. His now ex wife, took the kids and left for blowing the family savings on an anime project that failed. Father to 2 boys, and 1 girl. Accomplished Mechanic Younas: Skilled with his hands in more ways than one. He's a walking stereotype of a good looking, light skinned black man, fully equipped with two baby mothers. No doubt on the verge of adding a third with the way he has careless sex. Father to 1 boy, and 1 girl. Now in their mid 30's, all live at home with their parents, are in debt and feel their lives are going nowhere. Each woman connected to them just feels..., nothing. Co-parenting is like pulling teeth, harmless queries about where a lunchbox is can turn into deep seated resentment and text wars about the past. Sick of where their lives are going, Dashell and Younas partner up to create a community space where people can fix up things they need to with some guidance for a low cost. A Do-It-Yourself Space. But they need help. Iqbal, a creative mind who can't fix up his own life; may just be the repair kit they need when he walks through their doors. A look at the nuances of being diverse, divorced dads who have to figure out how to "fix" their lives up for the sake of their kids. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents are either a product of the author's imagination, or are used fictitiously. COMPLETED - (book 2) Updated version now available on Amazon Kindle and Kindle Unlimited with an extra bonus chapter at the end! "I stood there for a second, stunned at the fact that a pack wolf had gotten in between two fighting rogues, but when I took in my first deep breath after the adrenaline had wore off I realised why. It had already starting to heal but not enough for me to put all my weight on it. I quickly turned around to to make sure the guy hadn't caught up with me but frowned slightly when I saw that he hadn't even moved an inch from where I left him. That was weird, I thought pack wolves were all about finding their mates" ---- Blaine has lived a hard life, after all being born a rouge isn't easy, but she's getting by.
