Nobody ever thought this would happen. The dead have risen and are roaming the earth - desperate for their next meal.It's a gruesome world, and young doctor, Emma James is simply surviving like the rest of them. Daryl Dixon is the first person Emma comes across that wasn't trying to eat her, and she wasn't about to let him slip through her fingers. The pair are thrown together in unfortunate circumstances, finding death and despair around every corner. Daryl Dixon had always been a loner, and he had no idea how much his life would change just by meeting her.

The majority of the characters belong to AMC's The Walking Dead. This was based and inspired by The Walking Dead TV show. The story is set in Season 3, after Hershel's farm is overrun (So if you haven't got that far please do not read to avoid spoilers about who's alive or not). After that, the story swerves off in a different direction and the rest of the events belong to me. Alone in an apocalypse, Yasmine has to survive, at least she'd found the most friendly mode of transport, her horse Starstruck. How will she live through rabid zombie monsters? To different people they are named different things: geeks, biters, creepers, walkers or just 'The Infected'. They are brain dead and they want meat, check it out :) **This story was written by me, an Aussie girl and is set in America so if I get something wrong about the schools, politics or places or whatever, be kind coz I don't know what I'm talking about :) I will also be using Australian spelling*

*Featured in the official Wattpad @Fanfic The Walking Dead reading list. Daryl and Alice shared a small history together. As children he made a promise to protect her, but never made good on that promise. He lived with that guilt as she lived with the disappointment. Neither one of them expected to be brought back together again, especially at the end of the world. It would seem fate wasn't through with them, and they'd have to not only find their place in the new world, but their place with each other. I will try to stick to the main story plot, but I will most likely be tweaking some of it around. Also, I like when characters stay close to the same as the original idea, and as always, I do not claim any of those as my own.
