Goldenpaw was supposed to be the one who was going to save the clans from destruction. But how does that happen when she's been raised by the Dark Forest? She doesn't know of her meant-to-be destiny. All she knows is what everyone she knows have been telling her. The clans are evil. And she's meant to destroy them. Revenge is the only reward. You can only prove yourself by being a cold-blooded killer. After all her training by Dark Forest and Tigerstar himself, Hawkfrost as her brother, and Mapleshade as her mother, she's given her mission: Get the clans to trust her, then go for the kill to bring Dark Forest to victory. Goldenpaw is willing to do anything to prove her worth to Tigerstar. But after a little while with the clans, she can't help but feel connected to them. A strange new feeling of warmth in her heart confuses her mind. She's never felt it before. She makes friends. Later, she wonders what she should do on "that day." When the time comes, she faces a difficult decision: Should she destroy the clans like she was raised to do, or join the clans instead?
