They're hidden in the smiles of today's strangers, someone you know not well. But they are so invitingly sweet, saccharine against your lips, you let them lead you to your end. -- Polyamorous cannibals : a poem | Making their way down town, walking fast faces past and you should walk faster.

There in those city lights, there was no her and there was no him. There was just everything and nothing and the spaces in between, like flickering lights against a never-ending, black sky. There in those city lights, there was no love and there was no hate. There was just listening and talking and understanding every single thing, like the 'ready, stop, go' of car-chasers and dream-makers. There in those city lights, there was no sadness and there was no happiness. There was just candid smiles and wasted tears and bottom lips chewed off, like the overflowing boulevard of things unseen. There in those city lights, there was no lady and there was no man. There was just a boy and a girl, who promised to fall in love, not with each other, but in those city lights. Hazelwood. A minuscule hamlet in the centre of a thick wood. A hamlet, home to Aven and Rowan. Both of whom, are new to it. Aven Havenburry was there first, arriving while Hazelwood was still in the icy clutches of winter. Aven adores the place, usually taking her sketchbook and array of pencils to the bench outside of Lionel's cafe. She loves her collection of floral print dresses and her sunshine coloured Converse. Rowan Swanston arrived later on in the year, while the trees surrounding Hazelwood began regaining their leaves. He quietly keeps his feelings of hatred for the place to himself, helping his pregnant mother whenever he can to keep himself busy. Rowan takes pride in his collection of thick winter jumpers and wristbands he bought from all over the globe. Aven and Rowan both have one thing in common. Their love of Autumn.

Working at the biggest and most popular family owned pizza parlour in New Hampshire has its certain perks. Free pizza, great pay, and making little chubby kids smile at their graduation parties; its the teenage dream. But for Rhett Webster, a renowned geek in highschool, its a hell hole. Having to deliver to the idiot jocks at school who refuse to pay without some kind of prank, to the cheerleaders who sneer in disgust, to the parties that he never seems to get invited to; it's never an easy day. But what happens when the pretty, shy new girl opens the door and gives him a smile? Ivy Dunt may have a few secrets hidden away herself but despite that, she might just be able to slip beneath Rhett's nerdy exterior and show the world who Rhett Webster really is. Follow the awkard tale of Rhett and Ivy as they stumble through what it really means to be a teenager.

"'Caution. Hotness at work. May spontaneously combust.' I read Ross' neon shirt with something akin to disgust, brushing back my hair and shooting him a glare. 'Really? Really, Ross? I hope you realize that no one's going to find you attractive when you're picking up trash from the ground with a stick.'" When Ross Alderman literally blows up Jenn's AP Chemistry class, the two of them find themselves stuck with thirty hours of community service. Now if only Jenn can last that long picking up trash with him without combusting from anger, no chemistry humor intended. (current cover by @Razeeta)

A fear of flying is one thing. Being seated next to a Tetris-addict who claims to be the Reaper is quite another. "He pulled out a business card. Where his profession should have been stated, the card read 'Destroyer of Worlds'. Nodding slowly, I pocketed the card." for as long as anna can remember, every song she has listened to has been overlaid with the voice of boy next door, tobias. in the car, if katy perry was singing firework, toby was too. if the fray was blasting from anna's headphones, she could see toby mouthing the words. but when toby disappears one day without a trace, anna is left with a box of tapes and an empty passenger side. at first, anna is hesitant to listen to the tapes, worried that what they contain would shatter everything she knew. but, at the same time, she misses his voice. she just wishes that she could hear it in person.
