This is a book that I hope gives inspiration to anyone that reads it.

Not exactly dead, but not living either. The lamia are the essence of darkness and evil, but not all are evil. after the lamia have been discovered to be roaming among humans, and feeding upon them, humans began hunting them and driving them to extinction. 2 years later, the world is under the assumption that all of them are dead, but small groups are scattered across the world, trying to survive without being detected. Only problem, since they are the essence of darkness, they cannot touch the light.....without the life force of a being of light. Lamia must drink the blood of humans to survive in the sunlight. The world has returned to normal since the genocide, and a small group of lamia is striving to survive in the city of New York as they determine a way to find safety, but people are starting to become suspicious of the lamia's return...
