Nicki Westmoore is a nineteen year old girl from the suburbs outside of Boston. She grew up as a Bruins fan, and after her boyfriend of four years dies tragically in a car accident, she has to completely rewire her life. After spending months in and out of depression, her best friend Lisa decides that the perfect thing to cheer her up would be to take her to a Bruins game. What Lisa doesn't tell Nicki is that she has arranged for her to meet the team before the game. This is where she meets forward Tyler Seguin, and instantly starts to fall in love with him; however he is too absorbed in the single life to think about love. This is a story of Nicki's fight to win over the affection of the person she wants most.

For Jade Cunningham, having connections to the established NHL Dallas Stars team is normal. When she gets an internship working as an assistant to Jim Nill, general manager of the Stars and her uncle, hanging with the team becomes routine. Living up to the expectations of being the boss' niece doesn't take long for Jade to get used to until the infamous, cocky star player, Tyler Seguin gets in the way. Jade and Tyler tend to always get stuck with each other, whether it's at morning practice or sitting next to each other on a five hour flight. But when they finally get used to each other, the thought of being apart makes them question what exactly has formed between them.
