Levi Rivaille is a young and promising Captain in the Survey Corps, and though he hasn't been a Captain for long, he's already earned the title 'Humanity's Best Soldier'. He rose quickly in the ranks, his only goal being humanity's survival and the extinction of the Titans. On a call one day, with his squad, he discovers Dr. Jaeger and his wife, murdered, right in front of their toddler son, Eren. He takes care of the young boy, until the Military Police find somewhere to place him. But as he grows close to the little boy, he realizes something. He wouldn't give Eren up for anything.

It was then, from within the locks of his black hair, his cold steel blue eyes landed on a mop of dirty brown hair. It must have been his imagination playing tricks on him--it had to be.
