But nothing's truly perfect, and over the years his family broke apart along with his sanity. By the time he was 27, he had lost all hope in the world, nearly blowing up a motel and himself. Before he could, he broke down and was sent to a mental institution nicknamed Limbo. . . . Alex never knew his birth family, he was too young to remember them. When he was 3 he was placed into a foster system where 4 years later he was adopted by his foster fathers, Sam and Ponk. They already had a son, George, and Alex loved him, they got along really well (at least that's what Quackity thought) When he started High school he fell madly in love with an older boy, Johnathan, although he preferred Schlatt. The two dated for a few years, Alex growing more and more aware of who he was dating, he ended up leaving the man and 3 years later taking in his son after Schlatt died of a heart attack. . . . On Wilbur's 13th year in the institution, he was sure he would just be stuck in this Limbo, left to wait until he finally died, no one could help him and it seemed that no one wanted to help him. During a battle, Macaque gets injured, the group does not yet trust Macaque and is still skeptical so they leave the monkey king to watch over him, not only to make sure he is well healed but also so he doesn't run off or do anything destructive. The healing process is slow and painful, it hurts to even use his power. He finds himself unable to even move from his bed some morning. On the verge of death, Sun Wukong is worried for his ex-best friend.
