2014 WATTY WINNER!! (Collector's Dream Award for being one of the most want-to-read stories of 2014!). A Wattpad Featured story, and a Summer 2015 #WattpadBlockParty featured book! Undone Realms series: bk. 1 Out of countless realms in the multiverse, Clara is trapped in one that won't let her breathe. Her life consists of a hotel in a tiny pocket universe overlapping our own. Population: one. She doesn't know how she came to be there, how she can exist without breathing, or why she can see into the breathing world, but no one can see into hers. Nolan doesn't know any more about parallel worlds or pocket universes than Clara does. Running away from his abusive father, he finds work at the hotel. Depressed, Nolan wants to disappear as much as Clara wishes to be seen. There is little hope that they'll share anything beyond a palpable loneliness until the morning the barrier separating their planes of existence is breached and for the first time, Clara's unseen world is made visible. As Nolan is slowly drawn into Clara's breathless reality, he must decide whether the love of one person is worth crossing into a world that may never let him back into his own.

In letters to "Emily Rose," an expectant mother chronicles the nine months leading up to her daughter's birth. The journey begins with the word "pregnant" in late autumn and continues through three more seasons, two small towns, and many unforeseeable challenges. Through it all, those little kicks and flutters give her a warm sense of direction in a world that can be, at times, cold and unpredictable. By documenting her experiences, this mother hopes to preserve the precious memories, and make peace with her mistakes and the things she cannot change. And someday she will share this story with Emily Rose, when she, too, is faced with the challenge of becoming a woman and mother. This story was originally published on the parenting blog, http://sisterschance.blogspot.com (see External Link). Ready for a new adventure, it became @Fairytale_Fabler's icebreaker piece at the start of her Wattpad enterprise and it has since been listed on the Stories4Mom reading list. Soon after the "Little Peach" Mother's Day update, it became a Wattpad Featured Story. And like mother and child, their true story even has a story, one that began as a good idea (and a unique opportunity for self-reflection) and developed over the years into something stronger and wiser. Thank you for such overwhelming love and support. @nonfiction / WOMEN'S VOICES reading list

Sometimes all you really need is a place to call home. *** Claire is lost and scared and utterly alone. Her family is in shambles after the death of her older sister Ina, and she's left to pick up the broken pieces of herself as her life heads into a downwards spiral of loneliness. Her heart leads her to 5:48, a little cafe by 33rd street, where she finds her new home. With a broken heart and a speech disability, Jasper has his heart and mouth sewn shut by the winding threads of hurt and fear. Painting and serving coffee in cafe 5:48 are one of his last few saving graces, but the smile he's been painting on himself will soon fade away as everything he's ever held dear slips away from his grasp. Ezra is out-of-sync and oddly cold by the way life has treated his young self. Abandoned by his single mother at an early age, he has grown up thinking that he is a mistake. His constant shaking hands are a reflection of what he often thinks of himself, but the delightful pastries he bakes for 5:48's customers are a reflection of what others see of him. Drew is a quirky rarity. He is a dash of loud, a pinch of exuberant, and a cup of eccentric - just like the meals he serves in the cafe as the only chef there. Behind his playful grins and outlandish clothes, however, are his jutting ribs, hollowed cheeks, and too-thin arms. Sometimes he cannot stomach being in his own skin as much as he cannot stomach food. This family has gone a long way from finding each other, and they'll be going a long way together too as reality comes catching up to them, threatening the newfound happiness they've found with each other. Secrets are revealed, pasts become presents, and lives are changed. Slowly but surely, they find their way back home. *** NOTE AS OF 08/2026: This is the old version of the story from 2012, posted in FULL. Another story that will be considered a reprise of this old version is in the works, and will be posted under the name "Hiraya House."
