And we're back with Dean and Castiel, from our recent time with then in Hydrophobia. In this novel, we will go through sophomore year of Castiel, who is no longer hydrophobic, and the obstacles he faces in the new coming year. Castiel decides to stay the swim team's manager, for Dean's last year as a senior. But the question is: What happens when Dean graduates? When an unsuspecting turn of events takes place, will it ruin everything and drive their relationship off course? Will Dean move away to college and leave Castiel behind? And who is this new distraction that came from Louisiana?

Here we will encounter the life of 15 year old Castiel. With an embarrassing secret: He has Hydrophobia. He enters into high school. He needs a Physical ED credit in order to get his diploma and graduate from high school. Ironically, he was put on the swim team. He informs about his condition, and instead of an actual swimmer, he's a manger of the team. "So, I know Mr. Shurley said this was for English," Dean spoke, making Castiel's stomach flutter. How could a voice do that? He thought. "But I was going to ask you to- uh-" he rummaged in his backpack and took out a crumbled piece of paper. "Do you take Latin? And I also need help with Math." In which Dean develops feelings for the quirky, tea drinking, farmer’s market attending bookstore owner and Sam insists on using Facebook relationship statuses as hard, cold evidence.

When Castiel’s plans for the summer get cancelled and he’s left with nowhere else to go, Dean invites him to go home with him. It seems an easy solution to cure Castiel’s summer blues, but when they arrive at the Winchester household, Dean realizes due to a slight miscommunication with his mom he and Castiel will have to spend the summer sharing a bed and holding hands because the entire Winchester family thinks they’re dating. And really it shouldn't be that big of a deal because Dean Winchester isn't actually in love with his best friend; except for that he is.

"Castiel smiles, which he rarely does, and it makes Dean Winchester feel pretty damn good about himself. Even though he's done so much, caused so much, he's still here, making this angel happy- HIS angel happy. And to him, that's something to be very proud of."
