It had been eleven months since Brooke's life with the vampires had been normal. The illusion of peace had been broken, and the result was disastrous. Kyle was missing, and Jacob was dead. Masey and Josh were in chains. Lillian, Kit, Charlie, and Sam were guarding the prison loosely, feeling they had finally won. Brooke herself was locked up like a princess in a tower, except she was no ordinary prisoner. She was turning into a vampire.

I know I'm not safe, living with vampires. One of them has little control over his bloodlust, the second of them is stronger than a football player on steriods, and the last is in love with me. It's a recipe for disaster, and I've always had a feeling we were just a ticking time bomb, waiting, till one day it would explode. I'd just always hoped that day would never come, and we'd be fine. The whole time I was with them, i fooled myself into believing the delusion of calm that had formed, fooled myself into believing everything was perfect. I was wrong. So, so wrong.

Vampires have always been fiction to me, and to most other people as well. But I had a feeling they were real. My suspicions were confirmed one dark, dreary night as three of them decide to take a rest in my backyard.

Life is a never ending journey of gaining wisdom. From experience and age we gain wisdom and we grow and flourish. We are meant to go through pain, suffering, happiness, and love to experience an enriching life. So sit down, drink some tea and enjoy these words of wisdom.
