February 27, 1898 Dear Diary, Today I saw this handsome black man. I couldn't even keep my eyes off him. He seemed a little rough around the edges, but all I have to do is look at him and I start to have this weird feeling, you know? My friend says I shouldn't like someone like him. Why not? He is so handsome, and is a creamy light chocolate. I guess that tells you how much I stare at him when he is around. I only get to see him when I am on the bus and we pass him on the way home or to school. My stop is right next to the field he usually walks into when I am getting off. One of these days i am going to talk to him. Tomorrow that's when.

At 18 years old, she wore what her Mama told her to wear, went where her Daddy told her to go and played the part of a perfect Southern daughter the best she could. Inside, she was dying to break away. She wanted nothing more than to make a difference in the way the World worked. She yearned to climb her way out of from Small-town Alabama and live the life she always dreamed of living. She just didn't know how. Enter Terrence White- Her knight in shining armor- The man who rescues her from a brutal assault on the streets of Birmingham without a second thought as to how it could effect his safety. This book was literally such a whirlwind of emotions and really deserves more recognition. I have nothing against bwwm books but it's been so hard looking for a bmww book and this one is absolutely amazing <3." -StilaXxQueen "Greatest book ever. Thank you." -Thembozi "This is one of my favorite interracial stories I ever read..." -Chaniceeexo *~*~*
