The Devil is real. How do I know? There is a simple answer to such a simple question. I've met him. With fingers of parchment and bone he grazed my heart. Frostbitten lips stole the breath from my lungs. All warmth fled my body. Under his care I should have died. But I lived. My heartbeat shattered his hand. The breath from my lungs choked him. The heat I lost burned away his existance. I killed the Devil. I took his place. All hail she who reaps.

This short story was inspired by a dream I once had and so the main character is definitely me. This story is borderline psychological horror that will give you a sense of eeriness. It also has an Alice in Wonderland-esque theme which is perfect considering it was from a dream I once had. Enjoy! cover cred: abitchscream.tumblr

This short story was inspired by two British kids, a brother and a sister, that I knew in middle school. These two had moved from England to America in the middle of the school year. I noticed that they had struggled to fit in and suffered cultural prejudice (sigh). This story is dedicated to them and all those out there who suffer any sort of discrimination or with self-acceptance. I modeled the narrator/ protagonist off myself for the sake of diversity.
