❝Someday, I will leave and never come back.❞ ❅ Daniella Evans plans on spending her summer holiday in complete and utter peace; and by peace, she clearly means lazing around while gaining inordinate amounts of weight in the very process. Her plan fails miserably as her parents announce that they'd planned a surprise trip to Australia, and since Daniella nurtured a hobby of taking photographs of whatever comes to view, she was clearly ecstatic. With countless trips to amusement parks, bonfires, numerous confessions, spontaneous kisses, and unveiled secrets, Daniella definitely didn't expect her summer holiday to turn out like this. And she definitely didn't expect to develop feelings for Christopher Stone; a cold, ruthless boy. But what happens when Daniella leaves? After all, time is their most limited commodity. One thing's for certain, though: life always gets in the way. 111 in teen fiction 12/3/2016 cover by @devoursheabooks

UPDDATES: Tuesdays and Fridays Aria Grimm has ferried souls from the physical world to the other side longer than she can remember. A spot has finally opened up in the higher ranks of Death's army, and if she gets it, her difficulties of coaxing souls across would finally end. Playing it safe, Aria follows the three rules of being a Bridge: don't listen to the sob stories, don't touch the bodies, no exceptions. Aria breaks one of the three rules when she's called to the side of eight-year-old Chanse Becklan, leaving behind the mark of the Bridge. Breaking the rules comes at great cost, giving her ten human years to prove she's worthy of her job as Bridge...or more. "Do you have any fucking idea how mad it makes me when I see that you don't do anything about your situation?" he says angrily, his nose flaring. "Like what? Should I rebel against them like you; get drunk in parties, get arrested for vandalising some property just to get attention?" I say simply, but he seems to feel the anger I am feeling because his eyes harden suddenly. "No Ella, but you are a pushover. And being a pushover will never get you anywhere." And that's it. That's how Colton Andrews successfully shuts me up again, making me ponder over my choices as I watch him start his bike and over speed into the dark night. -- [Ranked #382 in Teen Fiction (03-06-2015)] [Ranked #15 in ChickLit (19-12-2015)] -- Special thanks to my friend Esha Mohol for letting me borrow her photo for the book cover! © Copyright _legallycrazy_ 2015-2021 All Rights Reserved.
