Sam and Elena ran as fast as they could. They both hoped they made it in time. She turned a corner and heard grunts, and began frantically running. When she made it, she saw him. Dean was on the ground, leaning against a wall. Metatron leaned over him with an Angel blade. "No!" Elena yells. But it was too late. Metatron grinned at her as he thrusted the blade into Dean's chest. An exasperated breath left Dean's lips. He turned to look at Elena, his face covered in blood. She ran to his side just as Metatron left. She held his head in her hands. "No." She says. Dean continued to stare. Elena knew what this meant. He was going to die. He tried to say something, but it wouldn't come out. "I love you." She tells him. Sam just watches the moment unfold. He smirks a little. "I-I..." He starts but Elena shushes him. "I know." She says. His eyes began to close and she felt tears streaming down her face. Sam, frozen, finally made his way to them. He pushes Elena away, for her own protection. Elena backs away against a wall as Sam placed a cloth over Dean's chest. After that, she couldn't hear anymore. She couldn't see anymore. "Please don't leave me." Elena manages to say, tears overwhelming her now. Dean looks over at her again. She couldn't live without him. » It's been days since the Trials and it has put Sam in the hospital. Elena hits her head in the roof and is unable to move. She coughs as glass bits crumble to the ground. "Ahh!" She screams in pain. Running feet are heard coming by. "Hello!" Dean appears and scares her. She screams. "Elena, it's me." He says. "My seat belt...I think it's stuck. I can't-" She says. "Sh sh sh." Dean says and crouches to her level. Sam is working in secret with Ruby, the demon. Elena has no idea what Sam can really do because he is almost never around. Ruby, in a new body, is helping Sam exorcise demons using his demon side. Dean finds out that he hasn't been talking to Elena and they get into a big fight. While Sam is making new friends with Ruby, something is going on with Elena and she had no one to turn to but Dean. Sam comes into the bunker carrying food bought in a shop. He hears his phone ringing but doesn't react. He nears the table, opens one of the bottles and drinks beer. Then he sees Elena has called him twice so he answers the phone. "Hello?" "Sam, is that you?" Elena asks. "I know it's been a really long time since we talked, but..." "Elena, hey. What's going on?" "I need you to tell me that you found something. A witch. A guy who knows a witch who knows something." She says. "Anything. I need you to give me hope and tell me that you're gonna find Dean and bring him back." "Not yet." "But how do you do it? How do you wake up in the morning?" Elena starts crying. "How do you go about your day without falling apart? Tell me what you're doing to get through this, because I'm clearly doing it wrong." "There's no right or wrong way, Elena." He says.
