Nikkia thought that by now, she would have everything all figured out. Her love life, her friendships, her family, and her future seems to finally be paved. However, she should know by now that the life of a superhero would never be easy, and would always come with an eternal price. I am a lighthouse, worn by the weather and the waves. I keep my lamp lit to warn the sailors on their way. I'll tell a story, paint you a picture from my past. I was so happy, but joy in this life seldom lasts. This story is based off of the song "The Lighthouse's Tale" by Nickel Creek. You can listen to the song, but I suggest that you wait until after, otherwise the entire story will be ruined... I just wanted to try this out, because I was ready to bawl when I heard that song, and it's such a good song too! So here's my version of the song, from the point of view of The Lighthouse's Keeper.
